Wood St. Youngstown, OH (330)744-8451 The Finance Officer is responsible for the financial and administrative services and operations of the diocese, including the central offices, parishes and institutions. The department exists to facilitate all temperal aspects pertinent to the operation and management of all diocesan entities under the jurisdiction of the Bishop. The department functions in the area of fiscal administrative matters, diocesan and parochial, which includes elementary and secondary schools. The department provides for uniform bookkeeping and reporting by parishes and institutions; oversees the self-insurance program; workers' compensation; unemployment; payroll; benefits (such as hospitalization, tax shelter annuity, pension, priest retirement benefits); cemeteries and real estate. The department assists parishes in planning renovations and new buildings, legal contracts and loans.
