Diocese of Youngstown 80th Anniversary Mass | Sunday, June 25
The Diocese of Youngstown is celebrating its 80th Anniversary! All are welcome at the 80th Anniversary Mass on Sunday, June 25, at 4 p.m. at Saint Columba Cathedral in Youngstown.
After Mass, there will also include an outdoor tented reception on the cathedral campus, with accessibility for those with disabilities.
The celebration will also feature an indoor historical display of the diocese’s history presented by the Diocesan Archives Office. The historical display will be open at 2pm before Mass, and then again after Mass.

Diocese of Youngstown in Full Compliance with National Child Protection Policies, According to Independent On-Site Audit
In November 2023, the Diocese of Youngstown received a letter of confirmation from StoneBridge Business Partners that the diocese has been found in full compliance with safe environment policies established by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

Meet Bishop David Bonnar



The Most Rev. Bishop David J. Bonnar is the Sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown. He was installed on January 12, 2021. His episcopal motto is “That All May Be One.” Shortly after his ordination and installation as Bishop of Youngstown, he released a Pastoral Letter, Testify to the Light, offering five priorities for the diocesan Church’s journey together.
