Bishop George V. Murry, S. J. Health Update

On July 3, 2019, the Most Reverend George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown entered the Cleveland Clinic for a re-occurrence of leukemia.  During a 28-day program of chemotherapy, the goal was to prepare him for a bone marrow transplant.  The doctors are very pleased to announce that the tests confirm that he is in remission, yet, at this time the doctors are not recommending that he have the bone marrow transplant which was scheduled for this fall.  Medical personnel are evaluating other treatments to ensure that Bishop Murry remains in remission.
