Bishop Bonnar: With the establishment of the Synod on Synodality, Pope Francis has reminded us that we are on a journey together. . . . Together we have a shared responsibility to embrace the mission and be part of meaningful dialogue in the Church and beyond.

Bishop Bonnar: “The statue before us represents the sacrifices made by those in healthcare during an unprecedented and unusual time. Let us never forget the meaning of their work and ministry. Moreover, let us be grateful for them.”

Bishop Bonnar: “But if we don’t change, we die. We can never ignore the fact that the Church is a dynamic reality always at the promptings of the Holy Spirit.”

Bishop Bonnar: The National Eucharistic Revival has begun. This three-year initiative portends to be a grace-filled time in which we as a Church grow in reverence and appreciation of the real presence of Jesus in the holy Eucharist. As priests, we have a special responsibility to assist in this effort.

Bishop Bonnar: I have come to see first-hand that our priests love this Church and that they work so hard. In fact, many of our priests serve in multiple parishes or are responsible for more than one ministry. To a man, I have found that these holy men are willing to do whatever it takes to serve the faithful of this diocese.
