Every member of the Faithful has a baptismal right and responsibility to participate in the mission of the Church. Our diocese, parishes and schools have controls in place to ensure good stewardship of those gifts of time, talent and treasure. That transparency includes publishing child protection policies, procedures for handling reports of abuse, and financial controls. External entities hold our diocese accountable with financial audits and safe environment audits. The diocese holds parishes and schools accountable with guidance and audits as well.
Our Boards and Councils assist in providing counsel and accountability on matters of finance, pastoral planning, catechesis, personnel, administration of our deaneries, cemeteries, and more. Each Board and Council includes representatives of different stakeholders impacted by their activities. They meet regularly to receive updates and provide feedback to diocesan leadership.
