Judging has been completed for the entries to the 25th Annual Communicator Awards, and CTNY, the Catholic Television Network of Youngstown, has been selected by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts to be recognized as a 2019 Communicator Awards winner. CTNY received three Awards of Distinction for St. Columba Cathedral: A Monument of Stone, Steel and Glass, celebrating the central Church of the Diocese of Youngstown; for its Four-Part series on racism called Removing Barriers; and, for the History of the Diocese of Youngstown celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Diocese of Youngstown. CTNY also won an Award of Excellence for Wineskins, the award winning radio show. The mission of the Communicator Awards is to seek out and recognize outstanding work in marketing and communications.
The Communicator Awards honors those who spread their message to the world. It is the leading international creative awards program of its kind. The prestigious award is hand-made and customized by the craftsmen at RS Owens, the same firm that produces the Oscar and Emmy Awards. CTNY has received a total of 14 Communicator Awards.
