The Most Reverend David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown, announces the following Clergy Pastoral Assignments:

Rev. Joseph Ruggieri – Temporary Leave of Absence from ministry for health reasons, effective January 3, 2022

Msgr. John Zuraw – Administrator Pro-Tem, Saint Rose Parish, Girard, effective January 3, 2022, while remaining pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Niles, and Diocesan Chancellor. Bishop Bonnar expresses his gratitude to the Dominican Fathers of Youngstown, who have accepted pastoral responsibilities for weekend and daily Mass at Saint Rose during this time.

 

Bishop Bonnar announces the following Priest Retirements effective July 1, 2022:

Rev. Msgr. Frank Carfagna from Saint Joseph Parish, Canton

Rev. Msgr. Lewis Gaetano from Christ the Servant Parish, Canton

Rev. Father A. Edward Gretchko from Saint Mary Parish, Massillon

Rev. Father James Korda from CTNY and Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, Campbell

Rev. Father J. Patrick Manning from Special Ministries

Rev. Father Michael Mikstay from Our Lady of Victory Parish, Andover and Saint Patrick Parish, Kinsman

Rev. Father Raymond Paul from Saint Joseph Parish, Massillon

Rev. Father John Zapp from Holy Spirit Parish, Uniontown
