Catholic Charities Launches Community Cupboard Campaign
Helping Families Meet Basic Needs with Dignity
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Youngstown, is launching its Community Cupboard Campaign, a local initiative aimed at collecting essential personal hygiene, cleaning, and paper products for individuals and families in need.
Items such as bar soap, laundry detergent, and paper towels can significantly strain a household budget—especially for those who rely on SNAP (food stamp) benefits, which do not cover these necessities. By providing these basic goods, Catholic Charities helps affirm, and in many cases restore, the dignity and self-worth of the people they serve.
From July 14 through July 20, local parishes, youth groups, and community organizations are invited to collect these taxable pantry items and deliver them to the nearest Catholic Charities service site. A full list of drop-off locations is available at www.ccdoy.org/locations, or by calling 330-744-8451. Donors are encouraged to call ahead to confirm delivery details and office hours.
Supporters can also shop from Catholic Charities’ Amazon Wish List to have needed items shipped directly:

Community members are encouraged to get involved by donating items, offering prayers for those experiencing poverty, and visiting www.ccdoy.org to learn more about the impact of Catholic Charities’ work across the Diocese of Youngstown.
