Diocese of Youngstown Calls for Donations to Support the Work of Catholic Charities USA

YOUNGSTOWN, OH — The Diocese of Youngstown, in conjunction with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), is calling upon Catholics and others of good will to support the efforts of the Church in responding to the humanitarian needs arising from Hurricane Ida, local tornadoes and flooding, and any other projected weather related damage. Funds collected will be distributed where needed the most.

Catholic Charities USA, along with local agencies, are hard at work providing humanitarian relief efforts in communities most impacted by recent flooding, tornadoes and other weather related damages. Agencies will respond to immediate emergency needs first, as well as aid in long-term rebuilding and recovery efforts.

All funds collected will be distributed where needed most by the Committee on National Collections following an emergency response protocol. Please pray for the lives and safety of all those impacted by these storms, as well as first responders and field support workers on site providing direct assistance.
