Originally promulgated in Latin in 1952, this apostolic constitution was originally written with concern for the mass migrations that happened prior to and just after World War II.
Pius XII words still carry weight to this day and provide a beautiful view into the Church’s love for the stranger.
An English translation of the constitution can be found here: https://www.papalencyclicals.net/pius12/p12exsul.htm.
The Latin version of the document is maintained on the Vatican’s website: https://www.vatican.va/content/pius-xii/la/apost_constitutions/documents/hf_p-xii_apc_19520801_exsul-familia.html.
