Position: Facilities Manager – Tri-Parish

General Summary: The facilities manager provides leadership and day-to-day supervision of the maintenance and custodial staff of three parishes and two schools in such a way as to enable the pastor to concentrate on the spiritual affairs of the parishes. The facilities manager oversees the grounds, buildings and equipment to ensure that the workspaces are safe and functional.

Responsibilities

• Oversees building and grounds maintenance.
• Operates and maintains custodial functions.
• Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.
• Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
• Oversees and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
• Manages and reviews service contracts.
• Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
• Checks completed work by vendors and contractors.
• Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
• Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent professional level experience.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions
• Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
• Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
• Must be a well-organized, detailed and customer (internal and external) oriented
• Strong procurement and negotiation skills
• Must successfully pass the required background check and all requirement of the Program for Youth/Adult Protection prior to employment and maintain a satisfactory background check throughout employment.
