Catholic Charities, Diocese of Youngstown invites community and church leaders and other interested persons to a “Lunch and Learn” on August 18, 2022, 12:00 p.m., at St. Columba Parish Hall, Youngstown. This free event will highlight the immigration legal services offered through a mutual agreement between the Diocese of Youngstown and the Diocese of Cleveland for people residing in the six counties of the Diocese of Youngstown. The luncheon will include a brief overview of the program, followed by open discussion and a questions and answers segment. The featured speaker is Ms. Ashley Sanchez, the attorney from Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland assigned to assist clients in the Diocese of Youngstown.
In 2021, the collaborative between the Cleveland and Youngstown dioceses resulted in the provision of legal services to 48 new individuals and new cases for 16 repeat clients, totaling 64 individuals served. The reach of immigration services in the Youngstown Diocese extends to individuals from more than 18 different countries.
