The Diocese of Youngstown is seeking highly-qualified candidates for the full-time position of Coordinator of Licensure and Technology. This person is a member of the Office of Catholic Schools staff which provides oversight and support for 26 schools in a six-county area in Northeast Ohio.



  • Practicing Roman Catholic
  • Strong commitment to the mission and ministry of total Catholic education and Catholic schools in particular
  • Appropriate academic preparation, Master’s degree preferred
  • Evidence of successful teaching/leadership experience in Catholic schools preferred
  • Highly motivated with strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and plan and implement professional development
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team settings
  • Exceptional technology skills with the ability to learn and support a variety of technology systems and software
  • Experience with Windows, iPads, and Chromebooks preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel, and Google apps, including Google Sites.
  • Background clearances and Safe Environment Policy training required


Purpose of Position:

The Coordinator of Technology and Licensure will be responsible for supporting schools in the use of multiple technology and systems for administrational, organizational, and instructional use.  The Coordinator will be responsible for set-up support, training others, and planning needed professional development. This will include acting as a liaison to partner technology agencies. The position will require personal continued training, as needed, to manage diocesan information systems and programs, and to manage the Google apps console for student Gmail accounts and Chromebooks.

In addition, responsibilities will include management of all teacher licensure and verification of standards and compliance. The Coordinator will also be responsible for the Resident Educator Program and supporting the Resident Educators and Mentors.

Other responsibilities may be included at the request of the Superintendent of Schools commensurate with an applicant’s experience and skills.
