Ministry with Persons with Disabilities

The Office of Faith Formation & Lay Ecclesial Ministry is here to support your efforts towards the inclusion of all people in sacramental preparation, liturgical ministries, and community building, because everyone is loved and needed in the Church. Catechist Cafe and the Diocesan Library offer many useful resources to help you and your Catholic organization become more adaptive to special needs and abilities.

The Diocese of Youngstown is an affiliate of the National Catholic Partnership on Disability (NCPD). Our Diocesan Library and Office of Faith Formation and Lay Ecclesial Ministry can offer materials or courses to support your ministries with and for people with disabilities, often for free or at a discount. Please contact us for consultation about welcoming people of all abilities in Catholic worship, schools, and parish-based religious education.
