Parish History

Officially established in 2010, St.Thomas the Apostle Parish has a rich historical past from two well-known parishes in Trumbull County. With the consolidation of parishes that the Diocese implemented in 2008, St. Bernadette Church in Masury (1940) merged with St. Vincent de Paul Church (1879) in Vienna. Eventually pulling all their resources together and with a successful capital campaign, an ambitious dream to build one church came to completion on July 3, 2106, on the Feast of St. Thomas the Apostle, when the new church was dedicated by The Most Reverend Bishop George Murry. Finally, the entire congregation was able to come together as one worshiping family in one building while the new church solidified a Catholic presence in that part of Trumbull County for many years to come.
