NCYC – November 20-23, 2025
The National Catholic Youth Conference is taking place in Indianapolis, IN, with the theme, “I AM.” We will be attending as a diocesan delegation of about 80 people. Further information is communicated directly to the Parish Group Leaders via email, as well as on doy.org/ncyc-2025

Diocesan Confirmation Retreats | Two different locations offered this spring!
- Saturday, February 7th at Immaculate Conception, Ravenna
- Saturday, February 28th at St. Nicholas, Struthers
At this time, the participating groups have filled out the necessary paperwork. There is nothing else you need to do except be on the lookout for a planning meeting in early November. Thank you!

ENCOUNTER 26 – March 14, 2026
The second annual Diocesan Youth Convention will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio.
Join hundreds of teens from around the diocese for a day of faith, fun, formation, and fellowship! Registration opens December 1, 2025. Cost is $40 for all until January 15th. January 16-February 1st: Cost is $50. Registration closes on February 1st at 11:59pm. All permission forms must be completed by parents by February 15th. Late registrations will NOT be accepted this year. Start spreading the word with your teens! Promo items will be posted soon. We look forward to seeing your group there!
Young Adult Ministry:
Campfire & Chat | Kick-off Event for Young Adults in and around Trumbull County!
Sister Rebecca Miriam, young adult ministry leader at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Warren, is kicking off cozy season with Mass and a Bonfire on Thursday, October 23rd from 6-8pm! There will be a talk, titled “The Popes and the Rosary,” as well as time for food and fellowship. Contact Sister Rebecca Miriam with any questions and to RSVP!

SEEK 26 – Register Today!
On January 1-5, 2026, a delegation of young adults (ages 18 – 39) from the Diocese of Youngstown will attend SEEK 26 at the Columbus Convention Center. The Diocese is subsidizing $325/per person, as well as overnight accommodations, for the first 25 young adults to register using the code DioYoungstown325 ! Young Adults must be graduated from high school between the ages of 18 and 39 and must live and/or attend Mass within the Diocese of Youngstown to be eligible for this discount. “Tackling the Volunteer Shortage” – Virtual Workshop with Christopher Wesley – December 10, 2025
Chris Wesley, Executive Director of Marathon Youth Ministry, will be leading a virtual workshop on tackling the volunteer shortage within our parishes/schools. Whether you are a youth minister, young adult minister, DRE/CRE, pastor, or principal, this workshop applies to you! There will be TWO different times offered to participate in this workshop: 9:30-11:00 AM & 7:00-8:30 PM. This workshop is being offered at an incredible value of only $10, and checks can be made out to the Diocese of Youngstown, Office of Youth & YA Accompaniment. Ministry Leaders Idea Sharing – January 21, 2026
The Office of Youth and Young Adult Accompaniment will be hosting an Idea Sharing Session on January 21, 2026 at 10:00 – 11:30 AM and is a virtual meeting for anyone who ministers to and with Youth and Young Adults! Each gathering will have a theme and a couple predetermined speakers (fellow youth or young adult ministers*, or guests from outside the Diocese!) who will discuss Best Practices and what has been fruitful for them in ministry. High School & University Campus Ministers, Pastors, volunteers/Core Team members are welcome, too! There will also be time for Q&A built into each gathering. Please be on the lookout in the coming months for the meeting link and opportunity to RSVP!

The Answer: The Musical
March 6 & 7, 2026 | Saint Columba Cathedral
Save the Date for a Diocesan Revival Event on March 6 & 7, 2026 at 7:30 PM! The Answer is a rock-opera depiction of Jesus Christ’s passion originating in Cleveland, Ohio, that is performed by families from Northeast Ohio and beyond, for ALL, all over the world! Please mark your calendars to bring your teens and young adults, as well as their parents and friends! This event is a wonderful way to devote time and prayer during the season of Lent. Performances are FREE and open to the public. Donations/Free will offerings, as well as sponsorships, are accepted.
