Pianist/Organist Job Opening
St. Patrick’s Church in Hubbard, Ohio is seeking an experienced pianist/organist to help shepherd our excellent music program. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated keyboardist to share their gift of music ministry at our parish.
Who we are
We are a lively and friendly congregation with the warm family environment of a smaller church. Following the restoration of our church last year, we were blessed with brand new instruments for worship including a brand new Steinway Model M Baby Grand piano and organ. We seek someone to be an active part of our faith community and to share their gift of music with our parishioners.
Organ
We have a three-manual, twenty-rank organ (2024).
Piano
We have a brand-new Steinway Model M Baby Grand piano (2024).
Music Ministry
We have an accomplished choir composed of volunteers and professionals (28 singers), a beginner bell choir (8 members) playing on a 4 1⁄2-octave set of Schulmerich handbells, and a children’s choir (10 singers) ranging from 2nd grade through 8th
.
Requirements:
- Extensive history of keyboard experience (piano and/or organ).
- A passion for music and sound musical knowledge.
- The ability to interpret various styles of music.
- Strong leadership and listening skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- A heart for music ministry as it coincides with Catholic Liturgy.
Responsibilities:
- Worship Services: 4:00pm Saturdays, 8:30am and 11:00am Sundays.
- Wednesday evening: a mid-week choir rehearsal (6:30-8PM) from September to June.
- Additional Worship services: Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week
- Preparation: Must be fully prepared for all rehearsals, services and events.
- Weddings and funerals as needed. Additional compensation of $150 per service.

- This position is part-time with negotiable salary.
