YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO –The Most Reverend David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown, will celebrate a special Mass on Sunday, May 8, 2:00 p.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, Youngstown to mark the wedding anniversaries of 114 couples who are being honored for a total of 5494 years of wedded life ranging from 25 to 71 years.
John and Eleanor Sciortino of St. Christine Parish, Youngstown, the longest married of those registered, are celebrating 71 years. Other couples celebrating include: 33 couples married 52-69 years; 40 couples married 50 years; 28 couples will observe 40 years; and 12 couples will mark 25 years.
The Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes renewal of marriage vows at Mass and a personalized certificate. A reception will be held for the honored couples and their families following the Mass in the Cathedral Hall, hosted by members of the St. Patrick Parish, Youngstown.
