Msgr. John Zuraw Appointed Vicar General
Press Release | The Most Reverend David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown, announces the appointment of Msgr. John Zuraw as a Vicar General, effective July 1, 2022, with responsibilities as Moderator of Parish, School, and Ministerial Leadership and for external operations of the diocese. Msgr. Robert Siffrin will also continue to serve as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia, with responsibilities for internal operations of the diocese.

Closing of St. Barbara School
Press Release | The Most Reverend David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown, has approved the request of Very Rev. Canon Maciej (Matthew) Mankowski, pastor of St. Barbara School in Massillon, and the Diocese of Youngstown’s Office of Catholic Schools, to close St. Barbara School, effective immediately.

CTNY Awards and Retirement of CTNY President Rev. James Korda

Meet Bishop David Bonnar



The Most Rev. Bishop David J. Bonnar is the Sixth Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown. He was installed on January 12, 2021. His episcopal motto is “That All May Be One.” Shortly after his ordination and installation as Bishop of Youngstown, he released a Pastoral Letter, Testify to the Light, offering five priorities for the diocesan Church’s journey together.
