Bishop Bonnar is announcing the following Clergy Official action effective March 27, 2026:
The Most Reverend David J. Bonnar has received the Apostolic Rescript by which His Holiness Pope Leo XIV has granted Peter Haladej a dispensation from the obligation of sacred ordination, including celibacy and by which he has been returned to the lay state. The dispensation was at the request of the petitioner.
