Bishop Bonnar to Celebrate Mass Honoring Wedding Anniversaries

The Most Reverend David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown will celebrate a special Mass on Sunday, May 5, 2:00 p.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, 144 West Wood Street, in Youngstown. The celebration honors couples celebrating their 25th, 40th, 50th and over wedding anniversaries. 

The Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes renewal of marriage vows at mass and a personalized certificate. A reception will be held for the honored couples and their families following the Mass in the Cathedral Hall.  In May 2023, 119 couples were honored for a total of 5,644 years of wedded life ranging from 25 to 70 years. Couples planning to attend this celebration need to register at their parish as soon as possible, but before March 27. 

A second anniversary celebration takes place at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist Church, 627 McKinley Ave NW, in Canton on Sunday, October 20, at 2:00 p.m.
