Diocesan Campus Ministry carries out the mission of the Church at various Catholic, private, and state colleges and universities in our six-county diocese. The office serves students, faculty, administration, and staff of these universities/colleges and their families, while extending beyond the limits of the campus to incorporate those who wish to share in this apostolate. Campus ministry serves these communities through providing opportunities for worship, service, spiritual formation, and education.
Currently this apostolate exists through Campus Ministry Centers serving Youngstown State University, Kent State University, Kent State University at Stark/Stark State College, Hiram College, University of Mount Union, and at the only Roman Catholic university in the diocese, Walsh University in Canton.

Kent State University (Kent Campus) campus ministry resides at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at the University Parish Newman Center adjacent to the KSU campus. The University Parish is the spiritual home of the KSU Catholic Student Association (CSA). Fr. Chad Johnson serves as parochial vicar and chaplain for campus ministry. The community is served by Ms. Veronica Victoria, Mrs. Carmen Roebke, and Dr. John Roebke. Youngstown State University is ministered to by the Catholic Newman Center, located just off campus. The spiritual home of the YSU Catholic Student Association (CSA), the Newman Center offers one Sunday Mass at 6:00pm as well as spiritual programming and social activities.
