Brendan Considine Named Principal of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown

Considine joins Nick Beyer who remains President of Cardinal Mooney High School

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Most Rev. David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown has approved and appointed Brendan Considine as Principal of Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown. His first day will be on July 1. Considine joins current President Nick Beyer as Principal of Cardinal Mooney. Beyer will remain as President.

Mr. Considine brings a wealth of experience in education and leadership. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Montessori School of the Mahoning Valley. Prior to that, he held leadership roles as a Supervisor & Assistant Principal at The Rich Center for Autism and served as Adjunct Faculty at Youngstown State University.

Mr. Considine is an alumnus of Youngstown State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education, a Master of Music and a Master of Science in Educational Administration. He also holds a current Ohio Principal’s License. Mr. Considine is a violinist, and he and his wife Karen play with the Youngstown and Greenville Symphony Orchestras, the Warren Philharmonic and Opera Western Reserve.

His appointment follows a thorough and thoughtful selection process conducted by a search committee composed of Superintendent Steven Jones, Cardinal Mooney faculty, staff & board members. Throughout the process, Superintendent Steven Jones said, “Mr. Considine impressed the committee with his intelligence, thoughtfulness and expertise in methods of teaching and learning.”

Considine says, “I am inspired to join the Cardinal Mooney community to share in the tradition of excellence. I have a great respect for this school and look forward to being a part of the support and guidance of all of our students, families, teachers and faith community.”
