YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Catholic Charities, Diocese of Youngstown, announces the commencement of its annual Season of Giving Campaign, beginning on November 1, 2026. This 60-day campaign benefits those in need throughout the Diocese of Youngstown.
Monetary gifts made to Catholic Charities during the Season of Giving will keep families stably housed, put food on tables, allow utility services to remain connected, and above all, will express the love of God and compassion for others. All donations will be passed through to the local Catholic Charities agencies serving our six counties for direct assistance to individuals and families.
In addition to making a donation to Catholic Charities through our website ccdoy.org or through the U. S. Mail (232 Seneca Avenue NE, Warren, OH 44481), three events have been planned to support the Season of Giving campaign.
The annual Breakfast with the Bishop will take place on Tuesday, December 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Saint Michael Parish Family Life Center in Canfield, Ohio. We also invite
you to join us for Mass at Saint Michael Church at 8:00 a.m. The event features a hearty breakfast, a brief presentation from Bishop David J. Bonnar, a holiday bake sale, a basket raffle, and a perishable/taxable goods collection. Tickets are $35.00 per person. Advance ticket sales only.
NEW THIS YEAR! Let’s play Bingo! Bingo With the Bishop has been added to our Season of Giving lineup. Join us on December 2, 2026 at Our Lady of Peace Community Center in Ashtabula, Ohio. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., bingo begins at 5:00 p.m. The all-inclusive ticket provides food, drink, cash bar, and bingo fun! Guests will receive a 7-game, 6-on Bingo experience packet and the chance to win door prizes and other prizes as well. Pre-sale tickets are $50 or reserve a table for eight in advance for $480. Individual tickets only are available at the door for $60; limited quantities are available.
Catholic Charities serving Portage and Stark Counties will host a Social Hour with the Bishop on December 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gervasi Vineyards in Canton, Ohio. This event will include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, as well as a 50/50 raffle, a basket raffle, and live music by cellist, Carmen Roebke. Tickets are $75 per person. Advance ticket sales only.
