Rev. Edward Beneleit, as temporary sacramental minister at Saint Joan of Arc Parish, Canton, and Saint Joseph Parish, Canton, effective September 19, 2023.
 
Rev. Brian Cline, has been granted a medical leave of absence from duties as pastor of Saint Joan of Arc Parish, Canton, and Saint Joseph Parish, Canton, effective September 19, 2023.
 
Rev. Scott Kopp, as pro-tem administrator at Saint Joan of Arc Parish, Canton, and Saint Joseph Parish, Canton, effective September 19, 2023, in addition to his current duties as pastor of Christ the Servant Parish, Canton, and Diocesan Director of Seminarians.
 
Very Rev. John-Michael Lavelle, as pro-tem administrator of Saint Paul Parish, Salem, and Saint Patrick Parish, Leetonia, effective September 12, 2023, in addition to his current duties as pastor of Saint Michael Parish, Canfield, Diocesan Vicar of Missionary Discipleship, and Diocesan Director, Office of Development and Stewardship.
 
Rev. Richard Pentello, as temporary sacramental minister of Saint Joan of Arc Parish, Canton, and Saint Joseph Parish, Canton, effective September 19, 2023.
 
Msgr. Peter Polando, has been granted a medical leave of absence from duties as pastor of Saint Paul Parish, Salem, and Saint Patrick Parish, Leetonia, effective September 12, 2023.
 
Rev. Brian Smith, due to overwhelming pastoral needs, Father Smith’s appointment to graduate studies in Moral Theology at the Angelicum University in Rome has been rescinded. Father Smith will assist temporarily as sacramental minister at Saint Paul Parish, Salem, and Saint Patrick Parish, Leetonia, effective September 18, 2023, until receiving a permanent assignment.

15 Lay Leaders of Prayer Commissioned by the Diocese of Youngstown

Press Release | Fifteen men and women were commissioned as Lay Leaders of Prayer on November 15, 2023. Leaders of Prayer are lay persons commissioned to lead the faithful in acts of worship which in the past were most often led by the ordained clergy but may also be led by lay people.
