YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Diocese of Youngstown is sponsoring a Wedding Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, October 25, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist Church (627 McKinley Ave NW, Canton). The Celebration honors couples observing their 25th, 40th, 50th, 55th, 60th and over wedding anniversaries in 2026.
The Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes Mass with Bishop David J. Bonnar, renewal of marriage vows, a personalized certificate for each couple and a reception for the couple and their families. Last October 26, 2025 there were 45 couples who gathered at the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist for the Annual Wedding Anniversary Mass and the blessing from Bishop Bonnar. All together, these couples were celebrating 2,319 years of marriage. The couple married the longest was celebrating 71 years of Marriage (Dennis and Maggie Lauk for St. Paul, North Canton.)
Couples planning to attend this celebration need to register at their parish office as soon as possible, but no later than September 25. Limited spaces are available.
