YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Office of the Catholic Schools at the Diocese of Youngstown is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Lisa Baylor as the new principal of Regina Coeli Catholic School. A career educator, Dr. Baylor previously taught at Regina Coeli, Walsh University, and most recently Walsh Jesuit where she was in charge of technology and instruction. Dr. Baylor starts on July 1.
Mr. Mario Calandros, the current principal of Regina Coeli, has announced that this will be his last year in his current position.
Father Humerickhouse, pastor of Regina Coeli parish, says “I’m grateful to Mr. Calandros for his steady leadership during this transition, and I’m excited to welcome Dr. Baylor as our new principal. Her experience and commitment to Catholic education will be a tremendous blessing to our school community.”
Dr. Baylor says, “I am so excited to be back at Regina Coeli School and serve as principal. As a former teacher and a current parishioner of Regina Coeli, it is both an honor and privilege that God has called me to this leadership role. I am looking forward to working with the teachers and families as we guide our students in both knowledge and faith.”
Superintendent Dr. Steven Jones says, “Regina Coeli School is one of the best kept secrets in Alliance. It’s a wonderful school with committed parents and a talented faculty. The small class sizes ensure that every student is known and appreciated for their own gifts. I know that Dr. Baylor is excited to return to this special place and we are very confident in the future of this great school!”
