Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commission (FDLC) National Meeting

The 2024 National Meeting of the Federation of Diocesan Liturgical Commissions (FDLC) will be October 1-3, 2024, at the Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.  This year’s national meeting is “Bridges of Hope – Merging Parishes.” Bishop David Bonnar is presenting on Wednesday, October 2.

A special Study Day on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, is open to all – clergy, parish ministers and staff.  Virtual options available.

Plenary sessions include:

~Building Bridges – A Pastoral Foundation by Linda Lee Ritzer, Secretary for Parish Services for the Diocese of Pittsburgh

~Canonical Processes in the Closing and Merging of Parishes by Rev. Christopher R. Seibt, Vice-Chancellor, Diocese of Syracuse

Focus Sessions include:

~Considerations in Merging Multi-Cultural Parishes – Mr. Hosffman Ospino, PhD

~Harmony: Merging Parish Music Programs – Mr. Preston Dibble

~The Shepherd’s Voice: The Importance of Preaching in the Pastoral Planning Process – The Most Rev. David J. Bonnar

~Church Buildings:  Considerations and Creative Solutions – Ms. Madeline Johnson
