Funeral Mass for Rev. David Bridling

In sure and certain hope of the Resurrection to eternal life through Jesus Christ, the Most Rev. David J. Bonnar, Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, is saddened to announce the death of Rev. David Ijandir Bridling. Fr. Bridling died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 due to complications from diabetes and other related health issues. He was 56 years old and is survived by family in Nigeria and many friends both in Nigeria and the United States.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 3:00pm-7:00pm at Saint Patrick Parish, Kent, with Vespers at 7:00pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00pm at Saint Patrick Parish, Kent, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, with an hour of viewing prior.  Arrangements are being made for Fr. Bridling to be laid to rest in his native Nigeria.

May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, rest in peace.  Amen.
