“The Watchman Awaiting the Dawn”
As priests, we need to be ministers of hope to the faithful. Our ministry is to provide them with a bridge from the troubles of this world to life in Christ. In this Advent Season we await the dawn – the coming of Christ. This Advent Day of Recollection will reflect on “The Perils of the Darkness” and “The Surprises of the Light.”
Presenter: Rev. John Marcucci, a priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh. He received a BA degree from St. Francis College in Loreto, Pa. and a Master Degree in Theology from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Having attended St. Mary Pontifical Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland earning an STL in theology, he was ordained in 1968. John served in five large Parishes before retiring in 2015. In retirement he helps in parishes throughout the entire Diocese and likes to refer to himself as a simple parish priest who is “a free floater, not a freeloader.”
Priests planning to attend are asked to RSVP their dinner reservation by December 12, 2024 to the Office of Clergy and Religious Services.
