Faith Formation

The Office of Faith Formation and Lay Ecclesial Ministry provides resources, consultation, and networking for catechetical and evangelization ministries in parishes across the diocese, and impacts both parish religious formation leaders and those who participate in formation activities. This is essential work in the Church, as it allows the faith to be passed on in its fullness and with authenticity.

There are over 100 Parish Ministers serving in pastoral ministry, youth ministry, and adult faith formation. These individuals serve 9,296 young people and their families, along with thousands of adults who participate in RCIA and other formation opportunities. Supporting the Office of Faith Formation provides local Parish Ministers with curriculum and other resources, personal and professional development, and networking opportunities. Additionally, assistance is provided to administrators and teachers who serve and educate 6,209 young people in our Catholic Schools.

“Throughout my tenure in Religious Education, the Office of Faith Formation and Lay Ecclesial Ministry has proven to be an invaluable support system.”
– Marnie Kelty, Holy Family Parish in Poland, OH
