St. Catherine of Sienna Parish in Boardman, Ohio, is hiring a full time Lead Maintenance person. This hands-on position is responsible for performing and coordinating building and grounds maintenance activities while working collaboratively with parish staff, contractors, and maintenance teams across multiple campuses. The key requirements and responsibilities are as follows:
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform general cleaning, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting work to maintain building and grounds.
- Supervise contractors and personnel in maintenance projects as needed.
- Collaborate with parish staff to maintain facilities supplies and to assist in staging scheduled events.
- Organize maintenance schedule to avoid any conflicts with church or school functions.
- Routinely inspect and perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
Requirements
- A high school degree or GED and technical or vocational training.
- A BCI/FBI background check and drug test.
- Compliance with the Diocese of Youngstown Safe Environment policy, including VIRTUS training.
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License and means of transportation between parish facilities.
- The ability to stand for long periods, ability to lift and move 50 lbs., and ability to work from ladders or elevated platforms.
