Webinar: The Search for Sacred Synergy: A Clergy/Musician Panel Discussion | National Association of Parish Musicians (NPM) Youngstown Chapter

DINNER & DIALOGUE EVENTS

Please keep an eye out for two Dinner and Dialogue events coming near to you!  These are dinners where we share in fellowship and get a chance to catch up! We have these events in the fall and spring.  We are also planning activites such as Advent Taize prayer service, Tenebrae service, and new music reading sessions.  Many exciting things are on the horizon! However, we need YOU to come and participate! We want to promote and support the musicians of this diocese as much as possible and we need your musical talents to help with that mission.  We look forward to making music with you!

NPM is offering an upcoming clergy/musician panel webinar including clergy and sacred musicians from across the United States. Clergy and directors of music are invited to join and be a part of this conversation on this free webinar. Feel free to contact Amanda Bruce if you have any questions: amanda@npm.org.

National Association of Pastoral Musicians Offers Hiring Guide for Directors of Music

The National Association of Pastoral Musicians (Website: www.npm.org) has recently released a hiring document as a guide for pastors (and equivalent clergy leaders) and search committees for hiring a Director of Music Ministries. This resource goes step by step through the process, providing helpful information on forming a search committee, drafting a position description, advertising the position, interviewing and auditioning candidates, and making the final selection for a Director of Music Ministries. The document can be found at npm.org and by clicking here.

Ralph Holtzhauser, Diocesan Music Director, is extremely pleased to announce that Youngstown is officially a temporary chapter of the National Association of Parish Musicians (NPM) as of June 1st, 2024.

The chapter is looking for people who might be interested in leadership positions.  The point of NPM in this diocese is to foster collaboration and spiritual renewal, as well as addressing musical needs. Look for an email soon about how musicians can get involved, and how pastors can help as well. To join the diocesan musician email list, contact Ralph Holtzhauser at rholtzhauser@youngstowndiocese.org.
