Mr. Troy Radinsky is the new St. Paul Salem principal; Mr. David Fischer joins St. James Waynesburg as principal

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – The Office of Catholic Schools is pleased to announce that Mr. Troy Radinsky has been appointed the new principal at St. Paul Catholic School in Salem, Ohio. A Steubenville native, Mr. Radinsky is a career educator with more than 20 years experience in school administration. His signature strengths include visionary leadership and strategic planning. Most recently, he served as Assistant Principal and District Athletic Administrator in Western Reserve Local Schools and before that, he was the Director of Curriculum and Instruction in the Catholic Diocese of Wheeling in West Virginia.
Mr. Radinsky says, “I’m honored and excited to join the St. Paul School community. Together, we will continue to provide an exceptional academic setting while nurturing each student’s faith, character, and lifelong love for learning.”
Upon his appointment, Superintendent Dr. Steven Jones says, “I’ve wanted to get Troy on the diocesan team for some time. His years of experience as a principal and in the superintendent’s office will be invaluable in leading St. Paul’s! This growing school is one the gems in Columbiana County and I’m excited to see its future unfold.” St. Paul has just come off an incredibly successful year, receiving both full accreditation and a renewed STEM school designation.
Principal David Fischer will be moving from St. Paul School in Salem, Ohio, to St. James School in Waynesburg. His move to Waynesburg is a move back to the Stark County area where he spent most of his career.
Father Kevin Peters, pastor of St. James Catholic Church says, “We are thrilled to welcome David home. His good reputation in Sandy Valley will certainly be a boost for St James school. His knowledge, experience and personality will help thrust St James school into a successful future.”
Likewise, Superintendent Steven Jones says, “David’s leadership has been invaluable at St. Paul, and I know he will bring the same enthusiasm and energy to St. James. The families and faculty that make up the St. James community will find a thoughtful and committed Catholic educator in David.”
