Bishop of Youngstown
Bishop David Bonnar talks about the new World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly on July 25, 2021, the many blessings they bring to our lives, and a vigil Mass at the Cathedral.
Bishop Bonnar: “Catholic schools are an ideal choice for families who want to invest in their children’s education and help them become their best selves.”
Bishop Bonnar: “If you are currently living in a union not blessed by the Church, […] I encourage you to meet with your parish priest, deacon, or parish leader to initiate the validation process.”
Memorial Masses were held at St. Paul’s in North Canton and St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown on January 3 & 4, 2023.
Bishop Bonnar: “Christmas is not about just being spectators at the creche, but participants in a loving relationship with Jesus Christ.” Illustrated with photos from parish nativities.
Bishop Bonnar: “[T]he Church is more than just bricks and mortar, but people. We need to do a better job building that sense of community.”
Bishop Bonnar: “[W]elcome the many visitations that are part of these days, because you just might be in the presence of a prophet, or better yet, Christ himself. Happy Advent!”
