Bishop Bonnar approved the proposal to merge the parishes of Saint Jude (Columbiana), Our Lady of Lourdes (East Palestine) and Saint Patrick (Leetonia) effective January 1, 2026. The new parish name will be announced shortly; all three worship sites retain their sacred titles given at their dedication. The merged parish offices and primary worship site will be located at Saint Jude Church, 180 Seventh Street in Columbiana.
Bishop Bonnar establishes the 7th Edition of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services as particular law in the diocese.
