Annual Diocesan Appeal 2024

Fr. John-Michael Lavelle has been emailing weekly updates on individual parishes’ performance on the Appeal. This information is also posted at www.doy.org/appeal under “Parish Toolkit and Updates.” As of April 22, 2024 we have reached the 75% mark of our Annual Diocesan Appeal which means that we have gifts and pledges over $3,000,00 from over 9,800 households across the diocese.  

Congratulations to Immaculate Conception Parish, Ravenna; Saint Peter of the Fields Parish, Rootstown; Saint Columba Cathedral Parish, Youngstown; Saint Mary Parish, Mineral Ridge; St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Warren; St. Peter Parish, Canton; Saint Edward Parish, Youngstown; Saint Agatha Mission, Lisbon; Saint Michael Parish in Canfield; and Queen of the Holy Rosary Parish in Vienna for surpassing their respective parish goals. Many more parishes are in the 90% and 80% range.

Diocesan Mass for Life to be Celebrated on January 14 at St. Columba Cathedral

Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown, will celebrate a diocesan Mass for Life on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, 154 West Wood Street, Youngstown. All are invited to pray for a greater respect for human life at every stage and in all circumstances.
