As of today, we have pledges and gifts totaling $4,013,378 for the Annual Diocesan Appeal: One in Hope, One in Mission. This is the second year in a row that we have met and exceeded the goal of $4,000,000. Special thanks to the 33 parishes who have also met and surpassed their parish goal. Even though we have met the goal, there are still a few weeks remaining to encourage those who have not yet made a gift to do so. We know how challenging times have been for people, especially those already living in poverty. Every dollar makes a huge difference in our ability to provide much needed assistance to our brothers and sisters in need, and to extend the mission and ministry of the Church to the faithful. A special shout out to our Appeal team – Matt Pecchia, Michael Houy, Darlene Wilms, and our newest member, Andrea Taddei. Also, thank you to Peggy McMahon, who although enjoying retirement, was a big part of the beginning of this year’s Appeal, and so many years prior. Additionally, thank you to Katie Ostgren and our partners at PSG for all their assistance. As we celebrate the Immaculate Conception today, may we always heed the words of our Mother at the Wedding Feast of Cana, and do whatever Jesus is asking of us – especially in our care for the poor. Again, thank you for all you are doing to promote and encourage participation in the Annual Diocesan Appeal. In the name of Bishop Bonnar and all who are served by your generosity and support, thank you and God bless you, Father Jack Lavelle –
Priests and Diocesan Pastoral Associate – Please make sure to save the date for the 2026 Appeal KickOff Luncheon at Saint Michael in Canfield on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 11:30am.
