Permanent Deacon Directory

About

The diaconate is a sign of the Church’s commitment to the mission of all believers: to serve others. Permanent deacons give sacramental witness to the self-giving love of Christ with their active involvement in their parish community, in outreach to the poor and the marginalized, and in fostering the Eucharistic communion of the Church. Deacons are vetted and formed by the diocese to be ordained to the three-fold ministry of word, liturgy and charity.
