YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Catholic Charities, Diocese of Youngstown, announces the commencement of their annual Season of Giving Campaign, to begin on November 1, 2024. This 60-day campaign benefits those in need throughout the Diocese of Youngstown.

Monetary gifts made to Catholic Charities during the Season of Giving will keep families stably housed, put food on tables, allow utility services to remain connected, and above all, will express the love of God and compassion for others. All donations will be passed through to the local Catholic Charities agencies serving our six counties for direct assistance to individuals and families.

In addition to making a donation to Catholic Charities through our website (ccdoy.org) or through the U. S. Mail (144 West Wood Street, Youngstown, OH  44503), two events have been planned to support the Season of Giving campaign.

The annual Breakfast with the Bishop will take place on Tuesday, December 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Saint Michael Parish Family Life Center in Canfield, Ohio. The event features a hearty breakfast, a brief presentation from Bishop David J. Bonnar, a holiday bake sale, a basket raffle, a perishable/taxable goods collection, and “Education Stations” highlighting Catholic Charities’ ministries and services. Tickets are $35.00 per person. Advance ticket sales only.

Catholic Charities serving Portage and Stark Counties will host a Social Hour with the Bishop on December 5 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Gervasi Vineyards in Canton, Ohio. This event will include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, as well as a 50/50 raffle, a basket raffle, and live music by local artist and musician, JD Eicher. Tickets are $75.00 per person. Advance ticket sales only.

Throughout the campaign, additional opportunities to participate and give back will be available through social media, with updates and details shared on our website.
