YOUNGSTOWN, OH – In order to serve rural families living on fairgrounds, the Diocesan Office of Rural Life and Ministry announces opportunities to celebrate Catholic Mass at five county fairs:
- Rev. Kevin Peters will be celebrating Mass at the Columbiana County Fair on Sunday, August 3rd at 8:00 A.M. in the Arts and Crafts Building near Gate A off of Lee Road.
- Rev. John Ettinger will celebrate Mass at the Ashtabula County Fair on Sunday, August 10th at 7:30 A.M. in the Bernard Pavilion.
- Rev. Jim Lang will be celebrating Mass at the Portage County Randolph Fair on Sunday, August 24th at 9:00 A.M. in the Hubbard Building.
- Bishop David J. Bonnar will preside at the Canfield Fair Mass on Sunday, August 31st at 8:00 A.M. in the 4-H Show Coliseum.
- Rev. Jim Lang will also celebrate Mass at the Stark County Fair on Sunday, August 31st at 8:00 A.M. in the Pavilion.
In addition, Mass for the Feast of the Assumption will be celebrated August 14th, 7:00 P.M. at the Cabin Church at St. Philip Neri in Dungannon.
All are welcome to participate in these celebrations of our faith. These Masses are essential for families who are spending the week with their animals at the Fair. Please come to support and to become better acquainted with the rural and farming communities of our diocese.
