HELP US MEET OUR
4 MILLION DOLLAR GOAL

GRATITUDE WITH GENEROSITY

Of all the wonderful gifts that God has given to us, the gift of His own Son is truly the greatest. How can we ever thank God for a gift like that? We can show God that we are grateful and generous with our God-given gifts. By nurturing and developing our gifts, we can generously give back with increase: our time in prayer, our talent in charitable works and our treasure to support the mission and ministry of our parish and greater Church.

Annual Diocesan Appeal 2024

Annual Diocesan Appeal

The Annual Diocesan Appeal continues to provide resources for Catholic Charities outreach within the diocese and to support the faith of all parishioners through our many diocesan ministries.

Missionary Cooperation Plan

The Missionary Cooperation Plan brings missionaries from around the world to speak in parishes. This program increases missionary awareness among the faithful whose donations, in turn, help the missionary organizations to continue their evangelization efforts and maintain their congregations, seminaries and convents.

Our Sunday Mass

The Communications Department films Our Sunday Mass in St. Columba Cathedral, Youngstown, Ohio with newly installed high definition cameras. Your support helps us continue to extend the celebration of the Most Holy Eucharist every week so that viewers who cannot attend in person may join us in spiritual communion.

Seminarian Support Collection

With an added number of vocations and ordinations, we are in the midst of a good problem. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support of seminarians and please continue to pray for an increase of all vocations.

Retirement Fund for Religious

Across the United States, hundreds of religious communities lack financial resources sufficient to meet the retirement and health-care needs of aging members. The total cost of care for senior women and men religious in the United States exceeds $1 billion annually. Please give to those who have given a lifetime.

Catholic Charities Diocese of Youngstown

Catholic Charities’ doors are open to our neighbors seeking assistance due to loss of income, unexpected expenses, chronic health issues, and more. Can you help provide for those who face economic difficulties? Thank you for supporting the ministries of Catholic Charities through your prayers, volunteer hours and financial support.

Church at Home Combined Collection

This three-in-one collection supports the national and local work of three important Church ministries: Catholic Campaign for Human Development, USCCB Catholic Communication Campaign, Catholic University of America and Newman Campus Ministries. Please prayerfully consider a generous donation.

Good Friday Collection for the Holy Land

When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you become an instrument of peace and join with Catholics around the world in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land. It is vital that we support Christians living in the very land made holy by the life, death and Resurrection of Jesus.

Church Overseas Combined Collection

This combined collection supports four major overseas services: Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Holy Father/Peter’s Pence, the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, and the Church in Latin America.  Please support these important programs of charity in the Church.

Good Samaritan Scholarship Fund

As a result of legislation passed in 2021, Ohio taxpayers who wish to support Catholic education in Ohio now have the opportunity to receive a potential tax credit. Donations to the Good Samaritan Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to students attending Catholic schools in the Diocese of Youngstown with a priority to support low-income families that seek high quality educational opportunities for their children.

The Catholic Echo

We thank you for considering a donation to The Catholic Echo, so that we may continue to educate, inform and entertain Catholics in our six-county diocese by forging stronger connections to our parish communities and highlighting the many blessings of Catholic life in our region.

Pontifical Mission Societies

The Pontifical Mission Societies (TPMS) are a worldwide network at the service of the Pope that supports the missions and the Young Churches with prayer and charity. These include the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, the Society of St. Peter the Apostle, the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA) and the Missionary Union of Priests and Religious. The Pontifical Mission Societies bring the message of Christ in countries where Christianity is too young, or too poor to sustain itself.

World Mission Sunday

In a world where so much divides us, World Mission Sunday rejoices in our unity as missionaries by our Baptism, as it offers each one of us an opportunity to support the life-giving presence of the Church among the poor and marginalized in more than 1,111 mission dioceses. Your generosity makes it possible for local priests, religious, and lay catechists to reach out to communities, families, and children in need.

#iGiveCatholic

During #iGiveCatholic on #GivingTuesday, you offer a wonderful and meaningful gift allowing us to continue our good work. With your support, we will continue to have an impact on those we are blessed to serve. Your gift ensures that, as a Church, we will continue to thrive and flourish. We are sincerely grateful.
