DOY Pilgrims to National Eucharistic Congress
The Diocese of Youngstown is coordinating travel and lodging for Catholic pilgrims from our six counties to journey together to Indianapolis, Indiana from July 17-21, 2024.
For the first time in a generation, the Church will gather to ask Jesus to breathe his life into our dry bones and then send us back to our community to share his love. This historic 5-day gathering of missionary disciples will be a new Pentecost, a powerful anointing and personal commission to invite others to know Christ. Your life—and our Church—will never be the same.
Thank you for your support of the Diocese of Youngstown pilgrims who will represent us at the National Eucharistic Congress. Please follow along during the month of July in support of this important national event. Make a Personal Pilgrimage This Summer
Make pilgrimage a part of your experience of the National Eucharistic Revival by planning a self-led personal pilgrimage in the next couple of months. This can be anything from visiting a faraway shrine to walking to Mass in the morning. Remember, the value of a pilgrimage is not in the distance traveled but in the disposition of our own hearts and the zeal with which we seek God. The Catholic Echo lists divine destinations in driving distance of Northeast Ohio: https://catholicecho.org/2024/06/01/divine-destinations/
