The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day)

This year the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls’ Day) falls on a Saturday. On Friday, All Saints Day is celebrated at Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours. On Saturday evening, the anticipated Mass for the 31st Sunday of Ordinary Time is celebrated. Mass for All Souls’ Day may be celebrated on Saturday morning, however it is not celebrated on Saturday evening at the regularly scheduled anticipated Mass.
