About the Role
The Diocese of Youngstown is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Financial Services Secretary to support the Chief Financial Officer and the Financial Services Office. This position plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly through skilled administrative and clerical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general office and administrative support to the Finance Department.
  • Manage calendars, appointments, and meeting arrangements.
  • Process mail, correspondence, and check receipts.
  • Prepare check requests, deposit tickets, and petty cash documentation.
  • Maintain organized files and records on parishes and schools.
  • Assist with utility contracts, supply orders, and travel arrangements.
  • Maintain donor lists and process contributions for diocesan appeals.
  • Handle office supply and cell phone accounts.
  • Perform notary duties and other administrative tasks as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business, accounting, or related field is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative or financial support, preferably in a nonprofit or church setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and accuracy.
  • Understanding of the mission and structure of the Catholic Church, preferred but not required.

 

Work Environment
This is an on-site office position at the Diocese of Youngstown Central Services, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer
