Parish Liturgical Coordinators and prayer group leaders are encouraged to pray for persons facing challenges, as well as for vocations to lay ministry, in upcoming meeting and event prayers, and in the Universal Prayers at weekend Liturgies (or include in your parish bulletin).
April is Autism Acceptance Month
Consider using one or two each week:
1. That families that include members with autism and other disabilities will find a welcoming home in the Catholic Church, let us pray to the Lord. R/.
2. For parishes to find the resources they need to reach out to all their members, especially those with autism and other disabilities, new parents, older parishioners, busy families, and veterans and their families, let us pray to the Lord. R/.
3. For our parish family during Autism Awareness Month, that we will model the welcoming and inclusive ministry of Jesus, seeking always to see the image of God in every person, let us pray to the Lord. R/.
Adapt as needed.
Thank you for praying along with the Office of Faith Formation and Lay Ecclesial Ministry staff.
Prayers 1 – 5 provided by the National Catholic Partnership on Disability Autism Task Force.
