Let us Pray for Lay Ecclesial Ministry and for Persons With Disabilities — updated prayers, Bulletin Materials

Parish Liturgical Coordinators and prayer group leaders are encouraged to pray for persons facing challenges, as well as for vocations to lay ministry, in upcoming meeting and event prayers, and in the Universal Prayers at weekend Liturgies (or include in your parish bulletin):

1. That those with physical, sensory, intellectual, developmental, and mental disabilities, and their families, feel important as members of our parish,  hearing not a hesitant welcome, but a confident one, like: Your family belongs here. And we are ready to work with and support you.We pray to the Lord.

2. That our parish community can be a comfort to those who are experiencing changing abilities due to injury or aging, we pray to the Lord.

3. That parents and teachers encourage their children to recognize the value in a life given for others through serving in our Church as lay ecclesial ministers, we pray to the Lord.

—-
Lord, hear our prayer.

Adapt as needed.

Thank you for praying along with the Office of Faith Formation and Lay Ecclesial Ministry staff.
