Saint Anthony Parish was established in 1898 and is located in Brier Hill, a neighborhood in Youngstown, Ohio, once viewed as the city’s “Little Italy,” which was the site of the city’s first Italian settlement that stretches along the western edge of Youngstown’s lower north side. In 2012 the parish was merged with Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish to become Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St. Anthony of Padua Parish. Each year Saint Anthony Parish attracts many visitors from Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania for both its Saint Anthony Feast Day Celebration on June 13 and the Brier Hill Fest in August. Saint Anthony Church is a parish community of 275 households and committed to the new evangelization.
