More than 100 couples will take part in the annual tradition

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO –The Most Reverend David J. Bonnar, Bishop of Youngstown, will celebrate a special Mass on Sunday, May 5, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, Youngstown, to mark the wedding anniversaries of 107 couples who are being honored for a total of 5554 years of wedded life ranging from 25 to 75 years.
Reginald and Mary Melia of St. Dominic Parish, Youngstown, are the longest married of those registered and are celebrating 75 years. Other couples celebrating include: 45 couples married 51-70 years; 43 couples married 50 years; 11 couples will observe 40 years; and 7 couples will mark 25 years.
The Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes renewal of marriage vows at Mass and a personalized certificate. A cake reception will be held for the honored couples and their families following the Mass in the Cathedral Hall, hosted by members of St. Charles Borromeo and St. Luke Parishes, Boardman.
