On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, parishes across the Diocese of Youngstown will participate in the annual “The Light is ON for you – An Evening of Reconciliation.” Catholics are encouraged to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation at their parish or a neighboring parish as part of our Lenten journey in preparation for Easter. 

And as the Most Rev. David J. Bonnar reminds us in his Pastoral Letter, “We become more immersed in the faith by belonging to a parish family where we are led by God’s Word and fed by the Sacrament, the Body and Blood of Christ. And when we fall to sinfulness and become broken, we find restoration and peace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and start all over again.” 

“The Light is On for You” will be celebrated in a variety of ways across the parishes. For all, it is a moment to reflect on our baptism and repentance during the holy season.
